The day, step by step
Morning
Chefchaouen to the Akchour gorge
Your driver collects you in Chefchaouen and follows the valley road to the trailhead at the Akchour dam, about 45 minutes away.
Late morning
The trail to God's Bridge
Walk with your guide along the river to God's Bridge, a natural rock arch high above the water. A viewpoint path looks down on it from above.
Midday
The cascades
Continue upstream to the lower cascades and, if you want a longer walk, the upper falls. Pools along the way are cold and clear in summer.
Afternoon
Lunch by the river and back
Lunch at a simple riverside café, then the walk out and the drive back to Chefchaouen.

Can you swim at Akchour?
In summer, yes, in the pools along the river. The water is cold. Bring a towel and shoes you can get wet.
