From Jaipur (JAI) there are no direct flights — connect via Dubai, Doha or Abu Dhabi to Casablanca (about 14–15 hours including the stop), or via Istanbul. Indian passport holders need a Morocco e-visa, so apply early. Plan a 7–10 day loop through Marrakech, the Sahara and Fes.
I find Jaipur travellers fall in love with Morocco fast — the pink-city palaces and the red walls of Marrakech rhyme beautifully. The routing first: there is no direct India–Morocco flight. From JAI you connect through a Gulf hub such as Dubai (Emirates), Doha (Qatar Airways) or Abu Dhabi (Etihad) to Casablanca, or via Istanbul on Turkish Airlines. Some Jaipur clients position via Delhi for more frequencies. Total air time is roughly 14 to 15 hours including the stop, so confirm the live schedule with the airline.
The visa is the piece I emphasise hardest. Indian passport holders need a visa for Morocco, and the e-visa is the usual route — but it has to be applied for in advance and the eligibility rules can change. Apply early and verify everything on the official Moroccan e-visa portal. My Jaipur guests who treat the visa as step one, before celebrating the flight booking, always travel stress-free.
For the journey, I lean into the palace-and-souk parallels Rajasthani travellers adore. A 7-day loop covers Marrakech, a night in the Atlas, two nights in the Sahara near Merzouga, and Fes — a city whose medina will remind you of the old quarters of home. Ten days lets me fold in blue Chefchaouen and the Atlantic at Essaouira. A private driver makes the long desert roads a pleasure rather than a chore.
My Jaipur tip: lean into the contrast. Photograph Marrakech and Fes against your memories of Amber and the City Palace; the architectural conversation is half the joy. Practically, Morocco is about four and a half hours behind India, so an overnight flight lands you mid-afternoon and you will sleep well. Keep day one easy and build the rest on our 7-day or 10-day itineraries below.
