No nonstop runs from Richmond (RIC) to Morocco. Fly RIC to JFK or Boston for Royal Air Maroc's direct Casablanca flight, or connect through a European hub like London or Madrid. Plan for about 15–19 hours of travel, then a 7- or 10-day Morocco loop from Casablanca.
Richmond is well placed for a Morocco trip even without a nonstop, because you are a short flight from the right gateways. For RIC clients I usually book the quick hop to New York-JFK or Boston, then Royal Air Maroc's direct flight into Casablanca. That single transatlantic leg, with bags checked through from Richmond, is the smoothest way to do it.
I always price the European routing too, since Richmond fares frequently move through Washington, Philadelphia, or Newark onto London, Madrid, Lisbon, or Paris. The hub layover doubles as a leg-stretch before the short hop to Morocco. Either path runs roughly 15 to 19 hours total, so the first item on every Richmond itinerary is a calm arrival afternoon — riad check-in, mint tea, nothing strenuous.
For the on-the-ground plan I read your interests. History-minded Richmond travellers tend to love the imperial cities, so a 10-day route through Rabat, Fes, the Atlas, the Sahara, and Marrakech lands well; seven days delivers a tighter cities-plus-desert version. I pace it so the medinas of Fes and Marrakech get real time rather than a drive-by.
Book the Casablanca long-haul first, because Royal Air Maroc seats tighten around holidays and the 2030 World Cup is already lifting demand, then fit the RIC feeder around it. Reconfirm both legs 48 hours out — Mid-Atlantic connections through the New York and DC airspace can shift, especially in winter, so a verified schedule keeps your start clean.
