Yes, for most travellers. You drive on the right, motorways (autoroutes) are excellent and toll-based, and national roads are generally well maintained. The main cautions are mountain passes — narrow, with sharp bends and few guardrails — and rural roads where livestock, pedestrians, and mopeds are common. It is best to avoid driving at night outside cities, and a 4WD with an experienced driver is needed for desert pistes.
An International Driving Permit is recommended but not always required alongside your national licence. Carry your licence, passport, and rental agreement at all times, wear seat belts, and note that Morocco enforces zero tolerance for drink driving. Speed limits are roughly 60 km/h in towns, 100 km/h on rural roads, and 120 km/h on motorways.
