It's a long drive or a flight plus transfer, summer heat is severe, vendors and catering have to be brought in, and guest numbers realistically cap lower. I save it for couples who want the journey itself to be part of the story and a smaller, adventurous guest list.

Don't overlook the coast and the gardens. Essaouira brings Atlantic light, sea breeze that tames the heat, and a relaxed bohemian feel for a barefoot-elegant celebration. Palmeraie garden estates give you greenery and shade.
