From Bucharest (OTP), connect via Madrid, Frankfurt, Istanbul or Casablanca to Marrakech (~6–8h total); seasonal low-cost directs to Marrakech occasionally appear, so check first. Land in Marrakech, run a 7–10 day loop, then fly home from Marrakech or Fes. Verify schedules.

Bucharest travellers should plan a one-stop journey, though it is worth checking for the occasional seasonal low-cost direct to Marrakech before you settle on a connection. From Henri Coandă I usually route people through Madrid, Frankfurt, Istanbul or Casablanca onto Royal Air Maroc, Turkish, Lufthansa or a partner into Marrakech or Casablanca. Including the layover the journey runs roughly six to eight hours, so an early start has you leaving Romania's Belle Époque boulevards and arriving on a Marrakech medina rooftop the same evening.

I land most Bucharest clients in Marrakech and build a loop. Seven days covers the souks and gardens, the Tizi n'Tichka crossing into the High Atlas, a night beneath the dunes and the long scenic road back; ten days lets me thread in Fes and Chefchaouen. Romanian travellers often want maximum value from a longer-haul trip, so I design efficient routings with a private driver throughout, honest driving times, and no wasted days — the Atlas crossing alone is genuinely four-plus hours with photo stops.

What surprises my Bucharest travellers most is the emotional weight of the desert. A couple from Bucharest told me they had come for the cities — and loved Fes — but it was the Sahara that undid them: the camel walk into the dunes at sunset, then a stillness deeper than anything they had known. So I build the route so that desert night lands roughly midway, the emotional centrepiece, with calmer medina and mountain days on either side to balance the longer drives.

For the return, if your loop ends in the north I fly you out of Fes (via Casablanca, Madrid, Istanbul or Frankfurt) rather than backtracking to Marrakech. I keep both exits open until we finalise. Tell me your dates and how many nights you have, and I will build the cleanest routing — and please confirm the live timetable, because the Bucharest connections and any seasonal direct change through the year.
