Providence (PVD) has no nonstop to Morocco, but Boston is an hour away. Fly PVD to Boston or JFK for Royal Air Maroc's direct Casablanca flight, or connect through a European hub. Total travel runs about 14–18 hours. Then run a 7- or 10-day Morocco loop from Casablanca.
Providence is one of the easier New England starting points because Boston-Logan is barely an hour up the road. For PVD clients I frequently book the short hop to Boston or to New York-JFK and then Royal Air Maroc's direct flight into Casablanca. Plenty of Providence travellers simply drive to Logan, park, and start the transatlantic from there — it kills a connection and I plan the rest of the trip around whichever they prefer.
When fares favour Europe, I route Providence clients through London, Lisbon, Paris, or Frankfurt with the short final hop to Morocco. Either way you are looking at roughly 14 to 18 hours of total travel — comfortably on the shorter end of US journeys to Morocco. As always I block the arrival afternoon for a riad, a tagine, and a real night's sleep before sightseeing begins.
For the trip itself I shape it to your taste. A 10-day loop gives Rhode Island travellers the full sweep — Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, the High Atlas, a Sahara night, and Marrakech — while seven days trims to the imperial cities and one desert overnight. Coming from the coast, my Providence clients often find the contrast of the dunes and the mountains the most memorable part.
My practical tip for Providence is the same Boston calculus as Hartford: in winter, the Logan drive can be more reliable than a small feeder flight when storms roll through. Book the Casablanca leg first, sort out your Boston access second, and reconfirm all segments 48 hours before departure. Carriers adjust their schedules seasonally, so verify before you commit.
