Yes — Morocco is a wonderful anniversary trip, whether it's a milestone or a long weekend. It suits couples returning for romance (riads, spas, desert nights) and those marking decades together with a richer cultural journey. We tailor the pace and surprises to the occasion.

Anniversaries are some of the most rewarding trips I plan because the couple already knows what they love. For a romantic re-set we recreate the honeymoon mood — a beautiful riad, a hammam ritual, a private dune dinner — at whatever length you have. For a big milestone, a tenth, twenty-fifth or fortieth, we slow it down and add depth: a private historian in Fes, a cooking class together, a designer-led journey through the imperial cities.

What I love about Morocco for returning couples is that it never feels finished. A pair who did Marrakech and the desert on their honeymoon can come back for the north — Chefchaouen, Tangier, the Rif — or for the coast and the Atlas. The country has enough chapters that a couple can mark several anniversaries here and have a genuinely different trip each time.

The surprise element is easy to weave in. A cake and rose petals waiting in the suite, an upgraded room briefed to the riad host, a private candlelit dinner on the night itself, a couples spa morning — these small, well-timed touches are exactly what turn a nice holiday into the anniversary you talk about for years. Just tell us the date and the story.

My honest steer: match the pace to the milestone and to your energy. A flagship anniversary deserves a little indulgence — a grander riad, a private guide, a desert night — rather than a budget dash. Spring and autumn give you the kindest weather for it, and a private driver means the whole trip feels like a gift rather than a logistics exercise.
