Yes — April is peak season for good reason. Warm, sunny days (22–26°C), pleasant desert temperatures, blossoming valleys and the famous Rose Festival make it arguably the best month overall. Book early: it is the busiest, priciest window alongside Easter.

If you could choose only one month to visit Morocco, many of our designers would pick April. The weather is close to perfect: Marrakech and Fes sit in the warm, dry low-to-mid-20s°C, the countryside is at its greenest, wildflowers carpet the valleys, and the whole country feels alive after winter. Every region — coast, cities, mountains and desert — is comfortable simultaneously.

The Sahara is a joy in April. Daytime warmth is generous without yet tipping into the brutal summer heat, and nights are mild enough to sit out comfortably under the stars. This is the ideal month for a desert overnight: long, glowing afternoons for dune-walking and camel treks, warm sunsets, and evenings around the camp fire that no longer require thermal layers.

April is festival season in the valleys. Around late April into May, Kelaat M'Gouna hosts the celebrated Rose Festival, when the Dades Rose Valley bursts into bloom and is harvested for rosewater — a fragrant, photogenic highlight if your timing aligns. The Atlas is gorgeous: lower trekking trails are dry and flowering while higher peaks still glint with snow, perfect for both gentle valley walks and serious hiking.

The trade-off is crowds and cost. April — especially around Easter and European school holidays — is the busiest tourist month, so the best riads, desert camps and guides book out weeks or months ahead, and prices peak. If you want April, reserve early. Also watch the Ramadan calendar: in some years its dates fall partly in April, which changes the daily rhythm of the cities.

Verdict: April is Morocco at its most beautiful and comfortable, with everything in bloom and every region accessible. The only downside is popularity — plan and book well in advance and it is hard to beat.
