Yes. February mirrors January — cool, sunny days (17–21°C in Marrakech), cold desert and Atlas nights, snow on the peaks — but with the first hints of almond blossom. It stays low season, so prices are low and crowds light, with valentines and early-spring blooms a bonus.
February is one of Morocco's most underrated months. The harsh edge of mid-winter softens, days lengthen, and Marrakech, Fes and Rabat enjoy bright, comfortable afternoons around 17–21°C — warm enough in the sun for shirtsleeves, cool enough for all-day sightseeing without breaking a sweat. It remains firmly low season, so you get the same generous prices and uncrowded medinas as January.
The headline event is the almond blossom. From mid-February the valleys of the Anti-Atlas around Tafraoute, and the slopes near the Dades and Ait Bouguemez, erupt in pink and white blossom — Tafraoute even holds an Almond Blossom Festival. It is a quietly spectacular, deeply local time to be in the mountains, with green terraces and snow-dusted summits framing the orchards.
Desert and mountain nights are still cold. Merzouga and Zagora drop close to freezing after dark, and the High Atlas remains snowbound — Oukaïmeden skiing continues, and Imlil makes a beautiful base for crisp winter trekking. Days in the desert, however, are glorious: warm sun, comfortable camel rides and clear, dust-free skies that make the dunes glow. Pack layers; the swing between midday warmth and night-time cold is dramatic.
The coast is mild and bracing. Essaouira is windy but characterful, Agadir reliably sunny around 20–21°C, and the Atlantic is too cold for most swimmers but fine for long beach walks. February is also a smart honeymoon and Valentine's window — riad terraces, hammams and candlelit courtyard dinners feel especially romantic with so few other guests around.
In short: February gives you winter's value and space plus the first whisper of spring. Bring warm layers for the desert and mountains, and you have arguably the best low-season month of the year.
