Absolutely. Marrakech and Casablanca lead, with chef-driven modern Moroccan, refined palace restaurants, French-Moroccan fusion and luxury-hotel dining rooms. Expect tasting menus, beautiful riad and rooftop settings, serious wine lists and impeccable service. It's a fraction of European prices for the quality. Reserve ahead, dress up, and let a designer book the standout tables.

Yes — and it's better than many travellers expect. Morocco isn't only street stalls and family tagines; it has a real and growing fine-dining scene, concentrated in Marrakech and Casablanca with strong showings in places like Fes and the luxury resort areas. At the top end you'll find genuinely accomplished cooking: refined, elevated takes on Moroccan classics, sophisticated French-Moroccan fusion (the French culinary legacy runs deep), tasting menus, and the polished dining rooms of the country's luxury hotels and palace-hotels, several of which are destinations in their own right.

Marrakech is the epicentre of stylish dining. Beyond the traditional palace restaurants, it has a wave of chic, design-led restaurants and chef-driven kitchens doing modern Moroccan and international food in spectacular settings — converted riads, lush garden courtyards, rooftop terraces with Atlas views. The grandest hotels (the famous palace-hotels with their legendary gardens and dining rooms) offer some of the most memorable luxury meals in the country, with service and surroundings to match anywhere in the world. Casablanca brings the cosmopolitan, big-city side: serious French and seafood restaurants, glamorous brasseries and a more international, wine-led scene.

What I love telling clients is the value. Fine dining in Morocco delivers a level of setting, service and skill that would cost a fortune in London, Paris or New York, for noticeably less — a tasting menu in a candlelit riad with live music and faultless service is an attainable special-occasion treat here rather than a once-a-decade splurge. The atmosphere is a huge part of it too: Moroccan luxury dining leans hard into beauty, ceremony and a sense of place, so you're not just eating well, you're dining somewhere genuinely magical.

Practical guidance for the high end. Reservations are essential at the best places, sometimes days ahead in high season, and some of the most exclusive restaurants (a few are inside private riads or hotels) effectively require booking through your accommodation or a designer who has the relationships — which is exactly the kind of access we arrange for honeymooners and special celebrations. Dress smartly; these places have a dress code in spirit if not on paper. Many of the upscale, licensed restaurants serve excellent Moroccan wine and international lists. If a standout meal matters to your trip, tell us — we'll line up the tables that are hardest to get.
