Excluding flights, budget travellers manage on roughly $40–60 per day, mid-range travellers $100–150, and comfortable private-tour travellers $250–400+. A typical week for two on a mid-range private trip lands around $2,000–4,000 plus international airfare, depending on season and standards.

The honest answer is that Morocco fits almost any budget, which is part of its appeal. Independent backpackers staying in hostels or budget riads, eating in local cafes and using trains and shared grands taxis can travel comfortably on about $40–60 per day per person. Mid-range travellers who want en-suite riads, the occasional private transfer and sit-down restaurant meals tend to spend roughly $100–150 per day.

Private, designed trips — the kind we put together — work differently because the big costs are bundled: a private driver-guide, vehicle and fuel, hand-picked riads, breakfasts and the logistics that make the days flow. For that level, plan on roughly $250–400 per person per day, more for genuinely luxury hotels and exclusive experiences. A week for a couple on a well-organised private itinerary usually lands somewhere between $2,000 and $4,000 before international flights.

Three things move the number most: season (peak is spring and autumn, plus Christmas and Easter), the standard of accommodation (a simple riad versus a five-star palace hotel is an enormous swing), and how much private transport you use versus trains and taxis. Desert nights also vary widely, from a basic Berber camp to a luxury tented suite with private bathrooms.

International airfare is separate and is often the single biggest line item — figure $500–900 round-trip from the US East Coast or $80–250 from many European cities, depending on season and how far ahead you book. If you tell us your dates, group size and the standard you want, we can give you a real, itemised figure rather than a guess.
