The easiest route is the train station inside the airport. For Casablanca city, take the line to Casa-Voyageurs or Casa-Port (~30–45 min). For Marrakech, board the direct airport train south — roughly 3 hours. A taxi or pre-booked transfer is the door-to-door alternative; the airport is ~30 km from central Casablanca.

Casablanca is the one Moroccan airport where I genuinely steer people toward the train, because the station is built right into Mohammed V and it removes all the friction. Follow the signs down from arrivals to the ONCF platform, buy a ticket at the machine or counter, and you have two onward worlds open to you: into Casablanca itself, or straight on toward Marrakech. It is cheap, reliable and dodges the traffic that clogs the road into the city.

For Casablanca city centre, the airport line runs to Casa-Voyageurs (the main long-distance station) and Casa-Port (closer to the old medina, the port and many hotels), taking roughly 30 to 45 minutes and leaving every hour or so. Check which station is nearer your hotel before you board. By road instead, a taxi or pre-booked transfer covers the ~30 km in about 30–45 minutes depending on traffic — fine if you have heavy bags or arrive very late, but agree the fare or pre-book it, as the airport run is not cheap and tourists get quoted high.

For Marrakech, this is the clever move many visitors miss: there is a direct train from the airport south, so you can land at Casablanca and be in Marrakech in roughly three hours without ever entering Casablanca city. You may change at Casa-Voyageurs onto the Marrakech service, but it is a smooth, signed connection. I often route arriving guests this way when their trip really starts in Marrakech — it is far more comfortable and predictable than a long road transfer, and you watch the country roll by.

My honest comparison: take the train for the city or for Marrakech unless you have a specific reason not to — it is the cheapest and most stress-free option, and it avoids Casablanca’s heavy traffic. Choose a private transfer or taxi when you land very late, have a lot of luggage or small children, or want door-to-door to a specific hotel. Whatever you pick, have some dirham cash for the ticket machine or fare, and do not let anyone in the hall "arrange" a taxi for you — walk to the official rank or the train yourself.
