Morocco uses the European two-round-pin plugs (Type C and Type E) at 220V/50Hz. Bring a standard EU adapter. UK, US, and Australian plugs all need one. Modern phone and laptop chargers handle 220V automatically, so no voltage converter is needed.

Morocco runs on the same sockets as France and most of Europe — the round two-pin Type C and Type E. If you have travelled in Spain, Italy, or France, your adapter already works here. If you are coming from the UK, the US, Canada, or Australia, pack a simple EU travel adapter and you are set.

The voltage is 220–240V at 50Hz. Almost every modern charger — phones, laptops, cameras, e-readers — is dual-voltage and says "100–240V" in tiny print on the brick, so it just works. I have never needed a bulky voltage converter on any Morocco trip.

The one thing to watch is high-wattage personal grooming gear. A hair dryer or straightener rated only for 110V (common from North America) can buzz, overheat, or simply die on Moroccan current. Either bring a dual-voltage travel version or rely on your riad — most decent ones provide a hair dryer in the room.

I always throw a small multi-port USB block and one EU adapter in my day bag rather than a separate adapter per device. Riads sometimes have only one or two reachable sockets near the bed, and after a long day in the desert you will want to charge a phone, a power bank, and a camera at once without playing musical chairs with the plugs.
