Tucson (TUS) has no nonstop to Morocco. Fly TUS to JFK or Boston for Royal Air Maroc's direct Casablanca flight, or connect through a European hub like London or Madrid. Plan for about 20–24 hours of travel given the distance, then a 7- or 10-day Morocco loop.

Tucson sits far out in the Southwest, so I tell TUS clients straight away that this is a long, multi-leg journey. The route I build most is Tucson to New York-JFK or Boston — often via Phoenix or Dallas — and then Royal Air Maroc's direct flight to Casablanca. Keeping the transatlantic on one ticket with bags checked through matters even more when your day already runs this long.

The European routing is just as common from Tucson: connect through a hub onto London, Madrid, Lisbon, or Frankfurt and take the short hop to Casablanca or Marrakech. Because of the cross-country distance you should plan for roughly 20 to 24 hours of total travel, so I treat arrival day as pure recovery — riad, mint tea, and sleep before any exploring.

On the ground, Tucson travellers and the Moroccan landscape are a natural match. Coming from the Sonoran Desert, my TUS clients feel immediately at home in the Sahara — yet the scale of the dunes and the Atlas drives still floor them. A 10-day route gives you Marrakech, the mountains, a proper desert overnight, and Fes; seven days keeps it to the imperial cities and one Sahara night.

Plan this one with margin. Book the Casablanca transatlantic leg first, then build the TUS positioning flights around it, allowing a generous connection buffer for the cross-country hop. I ask every Tucson client to reconfirm all segments 48 hours out. Carriers adjust schedules seasonally, so verify the full multi-leg itinerary before you commit.
