Yes — October is arguably the single best month. Warm, sunny days (25–29°C), perfect desert temperatures by day and comfortable nights, clear skies and golden light. Every region works at once. Crowds build for the autumn peak, so book ahead.

October is, for many of our designers, the finest month to visit Morocco — the autumn twin of April. The summer heat is gone, the cities settle into warm, dry, comfortable days around 25–29°C, the light turns rich and golden, and rain is still rare. Crucially, every single region is in great shape simultaneously, making October ideal for a classic grand tour weaving together imperial cities, the High Atlas and the Sahara.

The Sahara is at its absolute best in October. Daytime desert temperatures around Merzouga and Erg Chigaga are warm and comfortable rather than punishing, the camel treks and dune walks are a pleasure at any hour, and the nights are mild — perfect for sitting out under some of the clearest, most star-filled skies on Earth. If a desert overnight is the centrepiece of your trip, October is the month to do it.

The High Atlas is glorious — warm, clear and stable, with autumn colour creeping into the valleys and excellent, dependable trekking conditions before the first winter snows. Lower valley walks and higher peaks are both accessible, and the contrast of warm days and crisp mountain air is a delight. The cities, meanwhile, are perfect for unhurried medina exploration, rooftop dining and garden visits without summer's heat or winter's chill.

The coast rounds out the picture. Essaouira and Agadir stay warm and pleasant, the Atlantic is still swimmable after the long summer, and the wind is gentler than in high summer. October truly is a "have it all" month — beach, desert, mountains and cities all at their comfortable best within a single itinerary.

The only caveat is popularity. October is a peak-season month, so the best riads, premier desert camps and top guides fill up well in advance and prices are at their highest alongside spring. If October is your target, book early. The reward is Morocco at its most beautiful and accommodating.
