June is warm and largely dry, with days around 24°C and mild nights near 16°C. The Atlantic keeps Casablanca far cooler and more comfortable than inland Morocco, though humidity and grey coastal mornings appear. Good for the beach clubs and Corniche. Pack light clothes, a layer for sea mist, and sunscreen.
June ushers in early summer, but here on the coast it arrives gently. Casablanca days warm to around 24°C, the breeze off the Atlantic does its usual softening work, and while it is unmistakably summer, it never carries the brutal dry heat you would feel the same week in Marrakech or the desert. I tell people who want a Moroccan summer trip without being cooked that the Atlantic coast, and Casablanca specifically, is the answer — June is a perfect illustration of why.
One quirk of June I always flag is the coastal fog. Several mornings this month begin grey and misty, the local low cloud that drifts in off the cool ocean and often burns away by midday to reveal blue sky. I have learned to plan around it: indoor or shaded activities in the soft grey morning — the mosque, a museum, the markets — and the Corniche or beach clubs for the bright afternoons. It catches first-timers off guard, but it is simply part of the coast's summer rhythm, and the cool mornings are honestly a relief.
The evenings stay comfortable around 16°C, warm enough to dine outside but with just enough freshness that I still carry a light layer for after dark, especially near the water where the sea air cools quickly. June is when the beach clubs along the coast properly come alive, and the ocean has warmed enough to be genuinely inviting for a swim, even if it is still bracing by Mediterranean standards. A late afternoon at a seafront club, then dinner as the sun goes down over the Atlantic, is the quintessential Casablanca summer evening.
My practical take is that June is an excellent month to use Casablanca as a cool, breezy coastal base, particularly if the rest of your trip ventures inland where the heat is rising fast. Embrace the grey mornings rather than fighting them, plan your sightseeing early and your beach time late, and you will stay comfortable. Pack light summer clothes, sunscreen, and one light layer for the misty mornings and cooler evenings by the sea.
