October is warm, pleasant and increasingly autumnal, with days around 24°C and cooler nights near 15°C. The sea stays warm enough to swim early in the month, the first rains return late, and crowds are light. Lovely for walking and the Corniche. Pack light layers, sunscreen and a light rain jacket.

October is a gentle, golden month in Casablanca and a genuinely lovely time to visit. The high heat of summer has eased, days settle around 24°C, and the light takes on that soft autumnal warmth I find so flattering to the city — the white facades and the ocean both seem to glow in the lower sun. Early in the month it still feels like a mild summer; by the end you can sense autumn properly arriving, with cooler air and the first hints of the winter rains returning.

This is, in my view, near-ideal weather for exploring on foot, which is how I always encourage people to experience Casablanca. The days are warm but no longer humid or heavy, so you can comfortably spend a full day ranging from the mosque to the Habous quarter to the art deco downtown without wilting. The morning sea mist has largely gone, mornings are clear and crisp, and the whole city feels relaxed now that the summer crowds have dispersed. October is one of those quietly excellent shoulder-season months that savvy travellers love.

Evenings turn noticeably cooler, around 15°C, so while the early part of the month still allows for outdoor dinners, I start advising a proper layer for after dark, especially near the water. The ocean holds its summer warmth into early October and stays swimmable for the first couple of weeks, after which it becomes more of a paddling-and-strolling proposition. The Corniche remains a highlight, calmer now, and sunset over the Atlantic in the clear October air is beautiful.

My practical advice is that October is a smart, comfortable and uncrowded month for a Casablanca city break, blending the last of the swimmable sea with excellent sightseeing weather. Just keep an eye on the calendar — the further into the month you go, the more likely a late-October shower becomes. Pack light layers, sunscreen for the still-strong sun, and a light rain jacket toward month's end, and October rarely disappoints.
