A typical week from Germany runs roughly €1,200–€2,500 per person mid-range, including flights, riads, a private driver-guide, a desert camp and most meals. Budget trips can dip below €900; luxury easily exceeds €4,000. Flights from Germany are usually €120–€350 return.
I'll give you honest, real-world numbers rather than a brochure figure. For a German guest on a comfortable mid-range week — flights, characterful riads, a private driver-guide for the route, a night in a proper desert camp, and most meals — I budget roughly €1,200 to €2,500 per person. The wide range reflects season, how many of you share the driver and rooms, and how plush the accommodation is. Two people splitting a private car and twin rooms always travel more cost-effectively per head than a solo traveller.
Flights are usually the smallest piece. Direct returns from Germany to Marrakech or Agadir typically run €120–€350, and on the leisure carriers in the shoulder season I've seen them lower. Booking outside German school holidays and the Christmas peak, midweek, six to ten weeks ahead, is where the savings sit. Where the budget really moves is the ground experience — the riads you choose, whether you have a private driver or join a group, and how you do the desert night.
On the ground Morocco offers extraordinary value compared with Germany. A superb dinner that would be €60 in Munich is often €15–€25 here; mint tea and pastries are a couple of euros; entrance fees are modest. A private driver-guide for a week — which I consider the single best money you can spend on a first trip — is a fraction of what a comparable private guide costs in Europe. That's why I rarely tell German guests to skimp on the guide and instead suggest trimming a hotel category if the budget is tight.
For orientation: a careful budget traveller using simpler guesthouses and shared transport can do a week well under €900 plus flights. A genuinely luxurious week — five-star riads, a luxury desert camp, the best driver-guides and a few special private experiences — comfortably passes €4,000 per person. Most of my German guests land happily in the middle. Tell me your ceiling and the feeling you're after, and I'll build a week that respects both rather than quietly inflating it.
