From Florence (FLR), there's no regular direct to Morocco — connect via Rome, Milan, Madrid or Casablanca (total ~5–7h), or drive/train to Pisa or Bologna for more options. Land in Marrakech or Casablanca, run a 7–10 day loop, then fly home from Marrakech or Fes. Always verify schedules.

Florence travellers should plan on a connection — FLR has no regular non-stop to Morocco. I route most clients through Rome, Milan, Madrid or Casablanca, for a total of roughly five to seven hours. Sometimes the best move is a short hop or train to Pisa or Bologna, which opens up more low-cost and direct options into Marrakech; I weigh that against the convenience of flying straight out of Florence and recommend whichever gets you there cleanest on your dates.

I generally land Florence clients in Marrakech when the routing allows and build a 7-day loop: the medina, the gardens, the High Atlas crossing, a Sahara night, and the cinematic drive home. If Casablanca is the smarter connection, I flip the itinerary — Casa first, then Fes and Chefchaouen, then south to the dunes and out of Marrakech. With ten days I give the imperial cities and the desert the unhurried pace they reward.

Florentine travellers carry an exceptional eye for art, craft and proportion, and Morocco gives them an unexpected feast for it. One couple from Florence, both with a Renaissance-art background, told me the geometric perfection of the Saadian Tombs and the carved stucco of the Fes medersas struck them as a different but equally rigorous tradition of beauty. So when I sense that sensibility I lean the itinerary toward architecture and artisanship — palaces, medersas, and time with master craftsmen.

For the journey home, finishing in the north and flying out of Fes (via Casablanca, Rome or Madrid) saves backtracking to Marrakech. I keep both exits open until we lock the route, and I always pad the European connection against delays. Send me your dates and party size and I will find the smoothest routing, Florence airport or nearby — and please confirm the live timetable before booking, since options shift by season.
