The Dadès Valley and the M'Gouna region come alive each spring with thousands of damask rose bushes in soft pink flower. The annual Rose Festival (held roughly in May) fills the valley with music, colour and the intoxicating scent of petals — a Morocco moment unlike any other.
Green valleys & flowing waterfalls
Winter rainfall feeds the Atlas rivers right through to May, so spring is the one season when Morocco is genuinely lush. The Ouzoud Falls thunder at their most spectacular, the Dadès gorge glows emerald, and even the desert fringes carry a fringe of green.
Gardens & wildflowers
Marrakech's famous gardens — Majorelle, Menara, Agdal — reach their peak in spring when bougainvillea, orange blossom and jasmine perfume the air. Beyond the city, Moroccan hillsides erupt with poppies, chamomile and wild iris from March through April.
