Morocco girls' trip — FAQ

Morocco is a popular destination for women travelling in groups and, on the whole, a very welcoming country. Like any major travel destination it rewards a little preparation: dressing modestly in medinas, being aware of your surroundings and having a clear plan. Travelling with a private guide and pre-arranged transport (as all our trips do) removes most of the friction points. We’d rather be honest than gushy: it’s not without its street-level hassle in busy tourist areas, but the vast majority of groups have a brilliant time without any incidents.

7–9 days is the sweet spot for a first trip. It gives you time for Marrakech (2–3 nights), a day in the Atlas Mountains or a coastal town like Essaouira, and either a Sahara overnight or a swing through Fes and Chefchaouen. A long weekend (4–5 days) works well if you focus on one region. We can tailor any length to fit around flights and schedules.

Absolutely — Morocco is a fantastic hen destination. Think private hammam sessions, a group cooking class, a sunset rooftop dinner, a Chefchaouen photo day, and a desert experience that’s genuinely memorable. Morocco is a Muslim-majority country and dressing with respect — particularly in medinas and mosques — goes a long way towards a positive experience. In practice this means covering shoulders and knees in public spaces, which most groups find easy to manage (and even enjoyable, with the layers of local scarves and kaftans on offer). Riads and restaurants are relaxed. Your guide will advise as you go.

Most of our private group itineraries work out at around $250–$400 per person per day all-inclusive (accommodation, private transport, guide, most meals and activities). The more people in the group, the lower the per-person cost, since vehicle and guide fees are shared. A group of 6 will pay noticeably less per head than a group of 2.
