Saudia and Royal Air Maroc fly from Jeddah and Riyadh, and flydubai and Gulf carriers connect via Dubai — around 7–9 hours direct or with one stop. Saudi passport holders have enjoyed 90-day visa-free entry, but always verify the current rule before booking. Allow 7–12 days, and note the family-friendly summer demand.
Saudi travellers are some of Morocco's most enthusiastic visitors, and the connection is good. Saudia and Royal Air Maroc operate flights linking Jeddah and Riyadh with Casablanca, and when a direct service doesn't suit your dates, flydubai and the Gulf carriers connect smoothly via Dubai. Depending on routing you're looking at roughly seven to nine hours direct, or a bit more with one stop, and a two-hour-ish time difference. That accessibility is why Morocco is such a beloved summer destination for Gulf families escaping the most extreme heat at home.
Because the flight is comfortable, I plan generously: seven days for a strong first taste, ten to twelve to go deeper. For Saudi families especially, I lean toward Marrakech and the cooler, breezier coast at places like Tangier and the north, the Atlas Mountains for fresh mountain air, and gentle desert experiences timed to avoid the harshest midday heat. Many of my Gulf guests travel in larger family groups, so I build around spacious private vehicles, connecting riad or villa accommodation, and a relaxed pace with plenty of downtime — and we cater easily to halal dining, which is the norm across Morocco anyway.
On the visa, Saudi passport holders have long enjoyed visa-free entry to Morocco for tourist stays of up to 90 days, needing only a passport valid six months beyond travel — which keeps planning straightforward. As always, I ask guests to confirm the current requirement with the Moroccan diplomatic mission or official channels before booking, since entry rules can be updated and you'll want certainty before you commit to flights for the whole family.
A few notes Saudi guests appreciate. Morocco is a fellow Muslim country, so prayer is woven into daily life, mosques are everywhere, and halal food is simply the default — no special arrangements needed. Summer is peak season for Gulf travellers, so I book well ahead for July and August and favour the cooler regions then. The dirham is the local cash currency and worth having on hand even though cards work in upscale venues. And the shopping, the gardens, the hammams and the family-friendly riads make it a wonderfully restful yet rich trip. Tell me your group size and dates, and I'll shape it around your family's comfort.
