Allow 10–14 days. Fly Singapore to Casablanca via a Gulf hub (Emirates via Dubai, Qatar via Doha, Etihad via Abu Dhabi) or Turkish Airlines via Istanbul — about 16–18 hours with one stop. Singapore passport holders get 90 days visa-free, but verify before booking. A 7-hour time shift means mild-to-moderate jet lag.

Singapore and the wider Southeast Asian hubs are surprisingly well-positioned for Morocco, and I plan a lot of these trips. From Changi you're roughly 16 to 18 hours away with one connection, and there's about a seven-hour time difference — noticeable but very manageable, nothing like the brutality faced by guests from New Zealand. That makes a ten-day trip perfectly viable, though I still nudge most guests to twelve or fourteen so the desert and the south get the time they deserve rather than being squeezed in.

The routing is straightforward and the choice is generous. Emirates via Dubai, Qatar Airways via Doha and Etihad via Abu Dhabi all connect Singapore to Casablanca with excellent first legs and reliable transfers, and Turkish Airlines via Istanbul is a strong, frequent option that often posts competitive fares. Changi's efficiency means you start the journey relaxed, and the Gulf hubs are built for exactly this transfer. Casablanca (CMN) is the gateway; from there I usually run a clean loop through Marrakech, the Sahara, the Atlas and Fes so you never backtrack.

On visas, Singapore passport holders have enjoyed visa-free entry to Morocco for tourist stays of up to 90 days, making the admin pleasantly light — passport valid six months, an onward ticket and a first-night booking. The same caveat I give everyone applies: entry policies can change, so confirm the current requirement with the Moroccan authorities or embassy before booking flights. The same generally holds for several neighbouring Southeast Asian passports, but each nationality differs, so always check your specific passport rather than assuming.

A tip I give Singaporean guests in particular: lean into Morocco's contrasts, because they're the opposite of home in the best way. After the order and gloss of Singapore, the sensory chaos of the Marrakech souks, the silence of the dunes and the medieval tangle of Fes land hard and memorably. I also build in a desert luxury camp almost every time — it's the experience guests rave about most — and pair the trip with the kind of riads and private drivers that, thanks to favourable value, feel like an upgrade on what the same budget buys in Europe.
