Yes — Morocco has a strong tennis culture (the Hassan II Tennis Tournament is an ATP event in Marrakech) and padel has exploded in popularity, with new courts opening across Marrakech, Casablanca, and Rabat. Many resorts and riads have tennis courts, and dedicated padel clubs welcome visitors for casual games.

Yes on both, and padel especially has taken off here in a way that surprises people. Tennis has deep roots — Marrakech hosts the Hassan II Open, a long-running ATP Tour clay-court event, so the country has real pedigree and plenty of good clubs. Lots of the upmarket hotels and golf resorts in Marrakech and Agadir have well-kept courts, and if you're staying somewhere with one you can often just book a slot and even arrange a hitting partner or coach through the hotel.

Padel is the bigger story right now. The sport has swept across Morocco over the last few years exactly as it has across Spain, and Casablanca, Rabat, and Marrakech now have a growing crop of dedicated padel clubs with glass-walled courts. It's social, easy to pick up, and the clubs are used to welcoming drop-in players and visitors — you can usually rent rackets and balls on site and find a four if you ask. For an active evening that mixes with locals, it's brilliant.

The practicalities are simple. Courts are best booked ahead in the cooler parts of the day during summer, since midday play in Marrakech heat is punishing. Indoor and covered padel courts get around that nicely. Pricing is very reasonable compared with Europe, and a lot of clubs run social sessions where you can join in even if you've arrived solo.

If sport is part of how you like to travel, I genuinely recommend building it in. A morning tennis session or an evening of padel keeps you moving on a trip that's otherwise a lot of sitting in cars and restaurants, and it's a lovely, low-key way to meet Moroccans away from the tourist track. We can identify clubs near where you're staying, sort bookings and equipment, and arrange a coach if you want to actually improve while you're here.
