November is a mild, underrated shoulder month. Cities cool to a comfortable high-teens/low-20s with crisp evenings, the Sahara is sunny by day and chilly at night, the first snows dust the Atlas, and the coast turns breezy. Crowds and prices drop sharply after the autumn peak.
November is one of Morocco's best-kept secrets — a genuine shoulder month where the weather is still very pleasant but the crowds and the high-season prices have melted away. The imperial cities cool into a comfortable high-teens to low-20s by day, with crisp, cool evenings that call for a jacket. It's lovely walking weather: warm enough in the sun to enjoy the gardens and rooftops, cool enough that a full day in the medina never wears you out. The autumn light lingers, soft and golden.
The Sahara in November still works beautifully, with a winter rhythm setting in. Days are sunny and warm enough for comfortable camel treks and dune time, but the nights turn properly cold — clear, starry and crisp — so a desert overnight is wonderful as long as your camp is well heated and you pack warm layers. The High Atlas, meanwhile, catches its first real snows of the season toward the end of the month: the high peaks start to whiten, the lower valleys stay accessible and beautiful, and you get that classic Moroccan contrast of palm-fringed oases below snow-tipped mountains.
On the coast, November turns blustery and fresh — Essaouira and the Atlantic strip are atmospheric, great for wind-blown rampart walks and seafood rather than swimming. The deep southwest around Agadir and the Anti-Atlas stays warmer and is a reliable spot for late-season sun. The countryside, post-harvest, is quieter and more agricultural, with the olive pressing in full swing in the north. It's a calm, authentic, lived-in version of the country.
Crucially, November is excellent value. Once the October high season ends, prices for flights and riads drop noticeably, the marquee sights empty out, and you get guides and restaurants largely to yourself — it's one of the cheaper, quieter windows of the year alongside January and February. Just plan for cool-to-cold evenings everywhere and genuinely cold desert nights, keep mountain plans flexible around early-season weather, and pack a warm layer. For travellers who value space and value over guaranteed beach heat, November is a quietly brilliant choice.
