Cebu has no direct Morocco flight. Connect through a Gulf hub — Doha, Dubai or Abu Dhabi — usually via Manila or a regional stop first, for roughly 20 to 24 hours total. Land in Casablanca, then transfer onward to Marrakech or Fes.
Cebu is a long haul from Morocco, and the workable route goes through the Gulf. Cebu has some Gulf service, but for most of my clients the cleanest builds either start from Mactan with a direct Gulf carrier hop or connect first through Manila or Singapore and then pick up Qatar Airways, Emirates or Etihad. From the Gulf you change once and continue about eight hours to Casablanca, putting the total around twenty to twenty-four hours door to door. The strongest routing varies by season, so verify the live schedules and connection windows before booking.
Where a Manila or regional hop is involved, I plan the layovers with margin and, wherever possible, keep the whole journey on a single ticket so a tight transfer never threatens the onward Casablanca flight. Doha and Dubai are my usual hub picks for Filipino travellers, both for the comfortable transit and the frequent onward service. And I always price an open-jaw routing — into Casablanca, home from Marrakech or Fes — so the Moroccan leg flows in one direction rather than backtracking after such a long approach.
The time difference puts Morocco about eight to nine hours behind the Philippines, and the westbound outbound is the gentler of the two journeys. I plan a deliberately easy first day — riad check-in, a slow medina wander, an early dinner — and keep the Sahara drive and longer transfers for a rested morning. After a trip this long I generally recommend ten days minimum, so Marrakech, a desert night, Fes and the north each get proper time and the journey is well worth the effort.
On entry, Philippine passport holders currently need a visa or eVisa for Morocco — confirm the latest requirements and processing times on the Moroccan e-visa portal or with the Moroccan embassy before you book, since eligibility and timelines change. The rest of the prep is standard: draw dirhams from ATMs on arrival rather than sourcing peso-to-dirham at home, carry a backup card, and pack warm layers for cold desert nights and cool Atlas mornings. Travel in spring or autumn, get the Gulf connection right, and Cebu is a solid starting point for Morocco.
