From Khartoum, connect via Cairo, Addis Ababa, or a Gulf hub to reach Casablanca — total 10–18 hours. Plan 8–12 days: Casablanca, Fes, the Sahara, Marrakech. Sudanese passport holders need to confirm visa or e-visa requirements, and check current flight availability carefully.

Planning Morocco from Khartoum starts with a candid word about flexibility: Sudan's air links shift more than most, so the very first step is to verify which carriers are currently operating and reconfirm schedules close to your dates. With that in mind, the routings I look at go through Cairo on EgyptAir, Addis Ababa on Ethiopian, or a Gulf hub like Doha or Dubai. Cairo is geographically the most direct northern connection toward Morocco; from any hub you pick up an onward flight to Casablanca. Total travel typically runs 10 to 18 hours including the layover.

Because the trip involves a long traverse, I plan nine to twelve days so it pays off. A loop that works well from Casablanca: train up to Fes for the medieval medina, cross the Middle Atlas to the Sahara for a desert night, then over the High Atlas through Ait Ben Haddou into Marrakech, flying out from there. With twelve days you can add Chefchaouen or the coast at Essaouira. Keep the plan a touch flexible given the variability of the outbound routing.

On entry, Sudanese passport holders should confirm Morocco's current requirements carefully — whether a traditional visa, an e-visa, or another arrangement applies — through official Moroccan channels well before booking. Have a passport valid six-plus months, confirmed accommodation, a return ticket, and proof of funds ready. Given the extra logistics, I strongly advise not committing to non-refundable flights or hotels until both your visa and your flight routing are firmly in place.

Practical notes: Morocco is two to three hours behind Khartoum, an easy westbound shift. Spring and autumn offer the most comfortable weather across the loop. Carry a fee-free international card if you can and plan a cash buffer, since card acceptance and ATM access vary; withdraw dirhams on arrival. Pre-book your first nights and the desert experience once flights are confirmed, and keep the city days open to explore at your own pace.
