September is one of the best months: warm, settled days around 26°C, mild nights near 18°C, the warm sea still swimmable and the summer crowds thinning. Humidity eases and rain stays rare. Excellent for the beach, the Corniche and sightseeing alike. Pack light summer clothes, swimwear and sunscreen.

September might just be my favourite month in Casablanca. The summer heat softens, the days settle into a beautiful warm steadiness around 26°C, the oppressive August humidity starts to lift, and yet all the best parts of summer linger — the warm sea, the long evenings, the seafront energy. I describe it to guests as summer with the edges smoothed off: still warm enough for the beach, comfortable enough for proper sightseeing, and quieter now that the peak holiday rush has passed.

With the weather so kind and the crowds thinning, September is a wonderful month to do everything the city offers. The grey morning mist is fading by now, so mornings are clearer and brighter than mid-summer, which I love for walking the art deco streets and visiting the Hassan II Mosque before the day warms. By afternoon it is perfect Corniche weather, and the ocean — having soaked up the whole summer's warmth — is at its most inviting for a swim. Few months let you so genuinely combine culture and coast in a single day.

Evenings stay warm and gentle, around 18°C, ideal for outdoor dinners along the seafront without ever needing more than a thin layer. The post-summer calm is palpable: locals are back to their routines, the beach clubs are pleasant rather than packed, and restaurants are easier to get into. There is a relaxed, golden-light quality to September here that I find deeply appealing, and it makes the seafront strolls especially lovely as the sun sets over the Atlantic.

My honest recommendation is that September is one of the smartest times to visit Casablanca — warm, comfortable, swimmable, and noticeably less crowded and expensive than the peak of summer. It also pairs wonderfully with onward travel, as the whole country becomes more pleasant heading into autumn. Pack light summer clothes, swimwear, sunscreen and a single light layer for the evenings, and September will give you the city at a relaxed, near-perfect moment.
