February is much like January but with the first hints of brightening. Daytime highs sit around 18°C, the Atlantic keeps things mild, and the wet, blustery pattern eases just slightly, with longer sunny breaks between fronts. The city stays quiet and inexpensive — a working metropolis going about its business — so the Hassan II Mosque, the Habous quarter and the Art Deco downtown can all be seen at a relaxed, crowd-free pace.

It remains a month that rewards a flexible plan and an indoor backup. When the sun breaks through, the Corniche and the mosque's vast seafront esplanade are at their best, with the ocean light sharp and clean and the crowds entirely absent.
