What Casablanca is like in February

February is much like January but with the first hints of brightening. Daytime highs sit around 18°C, the Atlantic keeps things mild, and the wet, blustery pattern eases just slightly, with longer sunny breaks between fronts. The city stays quiet and inexpensive — a working metropolis going about its business — so the Hassan II Mosque, the Habous quarter and the Art Deco downtown can all be seen at a relaxed, crowd-free pace.

Good to know

Casablanca in February: your questions

Is February a good time to visit Casablanca?+
Yes, for a quiet, affordable visit. February stays mild around 18°C with the Atlantic's influence, and while it is still damp, brighter breaks appear and crowds are absent. It is a good cultural-and-business stop, ideal as a calm bookend to a wider Morocco itinerary.
How hot is Casablanca in February?+
Casablanca in February has daytime highs of around 18°C and night-time lows near 8°C. The ocean keeps it mild and never cold, though days can feel damp and breezy and evenings stay cool. A jacket is comfortable for all sightseeing.
Is it rainy in Casablanca in February?+
February is still one of the wetter months, with around 7–8 rainy days, but the pattern eases slightly and sunny breaks lengthen. Showers come in Atlantic bands rather than all-day rain, so flexible plans and an indoor backup work well.
What should I pack for Casablanca in February?+
Pack a waterproof jacket, layers for cool damp days, an umbrella, comfortable walking shoes and a warm sweater for cool evenings. Casablanca stays mild but wet and breezy off the ocean, so staying dry matters more than staying warm.

  • It remains a month that rewards a flexible plan and an indoor backup. A cooking class, the Villa des Arts, a long café morning over a pain au chocolat and mint tea, or the bustle of the central market all sit well against a grey afternoon. When the sun breaks through, the Corniche and the mosque's vast seafront esplanade are at their best, with the ocean light sharp and clean and the crowds entirely absent.

February suits the same traveller as January: someone treating Casablanca as a cultural and business gateway rather than a beach city, and happy to trade weather risk for low prices and calm. Rabat makes an easy contrast day trip up the coast, and as the month ends the longer, milder days hint at the gentler spring just ahead.
