What Casablanca is like in March

March turns the corner into spring. Daytime highs nudge up to around 19°C, the wet winter pattern fades, and sunny days outnumber grey ones. The Atlantic keeps the air fresh and breezy rather than warm, but the Corniche walks and the seafront esplanade of the Hassan II Mosque become genuinely pleasant again. The city is still quiet and good value, sitting in the gap before the warmer months bring more visitors.

Good to know

Casablanca in March: your questions

Is March a good time to visit Casablanca?+
Yes. March brings spring to the Atlantic coast, with highs around 19°C, drier weather and more sun than cloud. The city stays quiet and good value, and Corniche walks and mosque visits are pleasant again. It is a comfortable, balanced month for a business-and-culture stop.
How hot is Casablanca in March?+
Casablanca in March has daytime highs of around 19°C and night-time lows near 10°C. The ocean breeze keeps it fresh rather than warm, but days are comfortable for walking and evenings are only mildly cool. A light jacket covers most of the day.
Is it rainy in Casablanca in March?+
March is drier than the winter months, with around 6 rainy days and more sun than cloud. Showers still pass through but are less frequent and briefer. You can plan Corniche and seafront time with growing confidence, keeping a light rain layer handy.
What should I pack for Casablanca in March?+
Pack a light jacket for breezy days, a layer for cool evenings, a light rain layer, comfortable walking shoes and sunglasses. The Atlantic keeps the air fresh, so dress for breeze and the occasional shower rather than heat.

  • It is a comfortable month to combine indoor culture with outdoor air. A morning tour inside the mosque, an afternoon along the renovated Corniche, and an evening among the Art Deco façades and cafés of the centre-ville make an easy, balanced day. The Habous quarter and the central market reward a slower pace, and the milder weather makes the city's long seafront the obvious place to be when the sun is out.

March also works neatly as part of a wider spring loop. Rabat is an hour up the coast, the imperial cities are at their best, and Casablanca makes a logical arrival or departure point given its major airport and rail links. For travellers who want the city's business-and-culture character with reliably improving weather, March is a quietly rewarding choice.
