How to read this calendar

Likely windows and fixed dates

Organisers announce festival dates a few months ahead, so every festival below is marked with the month it usually falls in. When a 2027 date is announced, we build it into your plan; until then we treat it as a likely window, not a promise.

Religious dates follow the moon sighting in Morocco and can move by a day. Public holidays have fixed dates. Tell us your dates and we will show how the calendar affects your route in your free proposal.

Ramadan and Eid in 2027

Dates follow the moon sighting in Morocco and can move by a day; we confirm them in your quote. During Ramadan, monuments and hotels stay open, many cafés and restaurants in the medinas close until sunset, and evenings are lively after iftar. Around each Eid, shops and workshops close for two or three days and roads and trains are busy with families travelling home.

Morocco in 2027: your questions

When is Ramadan 2027 in Morocco?

Ramadan 2027 is expected from about 8 February to 8 March, with Eid al-Fitr about 9 March. The dates follow the moon sighting in Morocco and can move by a day. Monuments and hotels stay open; many cafés in the medinas close until sunset.

When is Eid al-Adha 2027 in Morocco?

Eid al-Adha 2027 is expected about 16 May, subject to the moon sighting. Shops, souks and workshops close for two or three days and roads and trains are busy, so we plan landscapes and quiet days around it.

Are the 2027 festival dates confirmed?

Not yet. Organisers usually announce dates a few months ahead. This page shows the month each festival usually falls in; once a 2027 date is announced, we build it into your plan.

What is the best month to visit Morocco in 2027?

April, May (outside Eid al-Adha week), October and November suit most trips, with warm days across the country. February is good for the desert but falls in Ramadan in 2027. July and August suit the coast and mountains more than the Sahara.

Which festivals in Morocco are worth planning a 2027 trip around?

The Rose Festival in the Dades Valley (usually May), Gnaoua in Essaouira (usually June), the Fes sacred music festival (usually May or June), Imilchil in the High Atlas (usually September) and the Erfoud date festival (usually October) are the ones travellers time trips for.

Does the 2030 World Cup affect a trip to Morocco in 2027?

The tournament is in June and July 2030, so it does not change a 2027 trip. If you are thinking ahead to 2030, our World Cup guide covers the six host cities.

How much does a trip to Morocco cost in 2027?

It depends on the season, the number of days, the hotels you choose, the size of your group and how much private guiding you want. Festival weeks, Easter and the Christmas fortnight book up first. Tell us your dates and you will get a free, itemised quote within 24 hours.

After you ask for a quote

  • An itemised quote: what is included and what is not
  • Who is planning your trip, and how to reach them on WhatsApp
  • Free, with no obligation to book

Before you pay a deposit, we confirm
