Why 2027
What the 2027 calendar means for couples

A lantern-lit desert camp at night with a red carpet between the tents Valentine’s Day falls in Ramadan
Ramadan is expected from about 8 February to 8 March 2027, so 14 February lands in the fast. Riads, hotels and desert camps stay open and evenings are lively after iftar, but many medina cafés close by day. For a long, easy honeymoon, start after Eid al-Fitr, about 9 March.

From mid-March to early May the whole country is warm and green: mild days in Marrakech, cold clear nights in the dunes, snow still on the Atlas peaks. It is the most popular honeymoon window, so the riad suites and private camps you want go first.

A panorama of Tinghir and its palm oasis Keep Eid al-Adha week light
Eid al-Adha is expected about 16 May 2027. Souks and workshops close for two or three days and roads are busy, so we put a pool day, a hammam or the desert on those dates rather than a medina tour.

The ksar of Ait Benhaddou above its palms Autumn is the quiet romantic
Late September to November brings warm days, cool nights and golden light on the dunes. Desert season opens in October, and an autumn wedding leaves time for a honeymoon before the festive fortnight fills up.

The 2027 dates that shape this trip
“About” means the date depends on the moon; “usually” means the 2027 dates are not announced yet. We confirm both in your proposal.
Good to know
Planning a 2027 honeymoon
Riads first, then the camp
A riad is a traditional house built around a courtyard, often with only a handful of rooms. The best suites for couples are few, so we hold those first, then the private desert camp.
Read moreDesert nights are cold
From November to March, nights in the Sahara can be close to freezing even after a warm day. Pack a warm layer for the dunes; camps provide heavy blankets.
Tell us it is your honeymoon
We plan the small things around it: a private dinner rather than a shared table, later starts after the desert night, and fewer hours in the car.

Morocco honeymoon 2027: your questions
When is the best time for a Morocco honeymoon in 2027?
Mid-March to early May and late September to November. Ramadan is expected from about 8 February to 8 March 2027, and Eid al-Adha about 16 May, so most couples start after Eid al-Fitr in mid-March.
Can we honeymoon in Morocco during Ramadan 2027?
Yes. Hotels, riads and desert camps stay open and evenings are lively after iftar. Some medina cafés close until sunset, and Valentine’s Day 2027 falls in Ramadan. We plan meals and timings around the fast.
How many days do we need for a Morocco honeymoon?
Eight days covers a Marrakech riad, a night in the Sahara and Fes. Ten to eleven days adds two or three slow days in Essaouira by the sea, or Chefchaouen.
Can we have a private night in the Sahara?
Yes. We book a private tent or a private camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga, with dinner served by lantern light. Nights from November to March are cold, so pack a warm layer.
Is Morocco safe and comfortable for honeymoon couples?
Yes. Morocco welcomes honeymooners, and a private trip means your own driver and a local guide where you want one. In the medinas and rural villages, dress modestly and keep affection discreet.
What does a 2027 Morocco honeymoon cost?
It depends on the season, the number of days, the riads and camp you choose and how much private guiding you want. Spring books up first. Tell us your dates and you get a free, itemised quote within 24 hours.
