Day 1: Beach, Marina, Souk El Had & the Oufella Kasbah
Agadir
Agadir was rebuilt from the ground up after the 1960 earthquake, so its appeal is modern and easy: nearly 300 sunny days a year, a 10km crescent of safe Atlantic sand and a relaxed resort rhythm. Spend the morning on the promenade and at the marina, dive into the vast Souk El Had after lunch, then ride the téléphérique up to the Oufella kasbah ruins for sunset over the bay, with the giant Arabic slogan "God, Country, King" glowing on the hillside below.
Morning
2-3 hoursBeach Promenade & Marina d'Agadir
Walk the palm-lined corniche along Agadir's 10km beach, then continue to the Marina d'Agadir, a smart harbour of whitewashed apartments, cafés and moored yachts. Optional swim or a coffee watching the fishing boats come in.
Afternoon
2 hoursSouk El Had Market
Explore Souk El Had, one of Morocco's largest markets with roughly 6,000 stalls behind ochre walls. Wander sections for spices, argan oil, ceramics, leather and fresh produce. Closed Mondays, so time your visit. Practise your bargaining.
Evening
2 hoursTéléphérique to Agadir Oufella & Sunset
Take the modern cable car (opened 2021) up to the Agadir Oufella kasbah ruins at ~236m. Survey the whole bay at golden hour and see the floodlit hillside slogan "الله، الوطن، الملك" (God, Country, King). Dinner back at the marina.
